A basketball player at the University of Massachusetts (where he roomed with Dr. J, Julius Erving), injuries forced Mumford out of the game he loved.
The medications that relieved the pain of his injuries also numbed him to the emptiness he felt without the game and eventually led him to heroin.
After getting clean, Mumford turned to mindfulness and meditation to transform his life.
After creating the Inner-city Stress Reduction Clinic in the early nineties, he went on to work with Phil Jackson, Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, to help transform the how the NBA approaches mindset and leadership.
He currently works with high level executives, professionals and sports teams to enhance performance and change lives.
